Immersive play for a sustainable world

goes on tour!

What if we could
captivate curious minds
with the magic of sustainable living
through
playful, future-focused experiences?

TOGETHER is our bespoke, world-first project offering immersive play experiences that inspire all ages to reconnect with nature, understand their impact on the world, and take collaborative sustainable action.

As of November 2025, we have completed 2 development phases - a premises-based pilot backed by Innovate UK, and a development phase which has seen us expand the offering and take the experiences on the road.

TOGETHER has now toured museums, community organisations, schools, universities and cultural institutions during which time it has grown to include over 20 activities including interactive projections, augmented reality (AR) and a wide range of handmade games - all created using reclaimed, repurposed, recycled and refuse materials where possible.

TOGETHER consists of:

  • Pop-up events

  • Medium to long term residencies

  • A Huddersfield-based immersive room

  • Professional development

With a proven concept we now work with community groups and the cultural, heritage and education sectors across the UK & beyond to bring our playful magic to as many curious minds as possible - from babies to adults (A.K.A. the big kids).

Think BBC Earth experience, Van Gogh Alive, and the many other immersive experiences that are gaining popularity right now... but combined with inspired learning, action, hope, colour and play!

Using a blend of physical and digital creativity, we tell the story of the impact of change.

The solutions presented in our experience help all ages to see the tangible actions they can incorporate into their daily lives, building hope and a sense of purpose.

Because the only way we can do this is TOGETHER

A young boy playing a giant eco themed snakes and ladders board game with two adults in a colorful indoor play area. The boy is in mid-move on the game board, and a large red dice is nearby.

A young girl with long brown hair, wearing a colorful striped sweater, gray pants, and a yellow and black scarf, is kneeling on the floor and playing with a projection of leaves and nature images on the ground in the dome.

Unlike many other educational experiences, we aren’t just giving just a brief moment of inspiration that leaves your mind as soon as you exit the experience. Our experiences are part of a larger eco-system of sustainable action and ongoing support.

We focus on the potential future that can still be created. We help children and communities learn HOW we can get there and WHAT we need to do. We inspire with stories of changemakers who are just like us. The people on the ground protecting our planet and fighting for the future. We take action TOGETHER.

And YOU can be the start of it.

Our interactive, curriculum-aligned activities cover solution-focused topics devised from the findings from Project Drawdown and The Regenerators 2040 documentary, plus our own addition of biodiversity, wellbeing & future skills weaved throughout!

Our playful learning approach

Circular infographic displaying icons representing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with the text 'Sustainable Development Goals' in the center.

We align all activities with the the National Curriculum, play-based learning, climate action frameworks, and nature pedagogy.

We’re focused on UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) 4 Quality Education, 11 Sustainable Cities & Communities, and 13 Climate Action.

Using our 3 part framework we guide participants through the following stages:

  • Rooftop urban green space with plants, trees, and water features, surrounded by modern high-rise buildings and city skyline in the background.

    1. INSPIRE

We start with understanding what drives you to make change, then take a look at the storytelling and visions of the future we CAN still create.

  • Lego toy city scene with colorful building, playground slide, and garden elements on a wooden floor.

    2. PLAY

We showcase the magic of sustainable solutions that will help us to get there, through hands-on activities and irresistible invitations to play.

  • Children and an adult gathered around a container of soil and plants, engaging in gardening activity.

    3. ACT

We take action to help protect nature, connect with the local environment and take the next steps to the future vision YOU want to create.

“Helen created highly engaging, interactive, family friendly activities as part of Apple Day at Cliffe Castle… Both children and adults alike participated in a variety of activities including playing on an interactive projector and using Lego to rewild and build green streets. All while telling the vitally important, positive story of nature-based solutions to climate change.”

Aligning with the curriculum

There are MANY connections to the curriculum throughout all our experiences and many ways in which we can tailor experiences to your needs. So feel free to give us a shout if you need something specific. And for now here are just some of the ways we connect to the curriculum >>>

More curriculum info coming soon!

  • From eco-focused phonics to crafting stories of future worlds, and writing letters to MPs… we love the power of words and storytelling, and bring it into everything we do. And we’re ALWAYS more than happy to expand on this area if you want to collaborate on a new mission.

  • Climate science. It's not always easy to know what's true, what's up-to-date and what on earth a carbon tonne is... so we put it is child (and teacher!) friendly content. The kids won't even realise they are learning about biomes, footprints and atmospheres. Sneaky!

  • A large part of this experiences is also rooted in helping everyone learn to use technology safely, and to help in learning and play. We'll learn about innovative tech advancements around the world and how they are helping to safeguard the planet.

  • Any excuse to make wondrous things from waste and reclaimed materials - we also get the participants to contribute to collective artworks from murals, to trees and installation art.

  • We will be learning about social justice, community action, and impacts around the world. Through collaborative activities the importance of teamwork, fairness and responsibility will be highlighted and acted upon.

Thanks to our connections with the Australia branch, we will also be looking at what we can learn from First Nations communities and other traditions.

  • Far from sitting at a desk learning, we encourage movement - from yoga poses where you pretend to be a slug, monkey or sloth (of course), to our fast paced Active Floor projector games and waste ten pin bowling alley - we will get you moving (and wear the kids out ready for bed)

Nice to meet you! I’m Helen...

…an educator, designer-illustrator, award-winning author and big child, based in West Yorkshire, England. I’m also a gold-level clumsy noggin who’s guaranteed to be the one who face-plants on entering that room.

I want the kids (and bunnies!) in our lives to have a thriving future on this amazing planet. As well as a lifelong learner and geek, I’m a big child, so I can’t believe I get to play and illustrate books for a living!

As an ex-teacher/lecturer, I understand the pressure adults are constantly under and that climate change and sustainability is a HUGE intimidating topic to try and fit in on top of everything else without terrifying the kids. I’m here to be your wingwoman and take the pressure off in any way I can. And as for those adults, I’m a firm believer that a playful approach opens doors and imaginations that often get shut in adult life and we need to reopen them to engage curiosity and awe, to inspire again.
