Interactive education that throws creativity, hope and joy back at fear-led climate learning

Helping the cultural, heritage and education sectors inspire climate action through interactive play

We are ISWaS, an interdisciplinary education consultancy working at the intersection of sustainability, education, and interactive technology.

At ISWaS, we believe that climate action and learning should be inspiring, joyful, and deeply human.

Our mission is to spark curiosity, build community, and turn small actions into big change—by using the power of interactive technology, storytelling, and game-based learning.

Climate education is our specialisation. The Creative Mischief methodology works for any topic needing interactive, joyful delivery (available through sister brand UnlikelyGenius, where it all began).

What we do: How We Make Interactive Learning Happen

We work with schools, museums, and community organisations to create interactive learning experiences that feel joyful, not preachy.

Active Floor Training

I'm the UK & Ireland's official Active Floor trainer. Active Floor is interactive floor/wall technology that transforms any space into a dynamic learning environment. Students stand on it, interact with it, play games that are part of learning. It's physical, social, playful — and learning sticks.

Remote training (60-90 mins): £200
In-person training (60-90 mins): £450
Full 3-session package (1 in person, 3 remote): £900

Pop-up Interactive Climate Events

Pop-up experiences you can bring to your school or venue. Mix of handmade games, interactive activities, sewing workshops, and real conversation about climate. Half-day or full-day formats available from £250. Contact for a custom quote based on your needs.

Sustainable Making Workshops

Learning textile skills, sewing, and creative making from reclaimed and deadstock fabrics. Heritage techniques. Contemporary applications. You make something beautiful AND you learn skills that last.

Weaving, stitching, upcycling, memory-keeping — hands-on making where sustainability isn't lectured, it's modelled. Perfect for schools, community groups, family workshops, or anyone wanting to make something real.

From half-day sessions to week-long intensives. Custom quotes based on your group size and what you'd like to create.

Handmade Games & Interactive Experiences

Not corporate off-the-shelf stuff. Real games I've created, such as:

  • Giant Snakes & Ladders style board game (made from waste fabric)

  • Mermaid tail (BBC-worn, teaches ocean plastic + sustainable fashion)

  • Paddling pool fishing game (kids rescue animals trapped in a sea of plastic, see impact)

  • Plastic bottle ten-pin bowling alley

These aren't just fun — they TEACH. And they're proof that interactive learning doesn't need expensive tech. It needs creativity, intention, and play. You can hire mine, or I can create bespoke ones for you.

Why We're Different

My brain fires on new ways to engage people. I think visually. I make things with my hands. I create tangible experiences that stick.

Climate education doesn't have to feel heavy or preachy. It can be joyful, funny, hopeful, and absolutely genuine. That's Creative Mischief applied to learning.

The methodology works for any topic that needs interactive, joyful delivery — currently applied to climate, but the approach is flexible (available for wider topics through sister brand UnlikelyGenius, where it all began).

See how it works: TOGETHER case study

Our TOGETHER residencies brought sustainable play to life at heritage and cultural institutions, community centres, educational institutions, festivals, and more—turning empty spaces into vibrant hubs of learning, creativity, and collective climate action.

8000+ young people & 1100 adults. Interactive games. Creative workshops. Physical spaces for exploration. Real engagement. Real transformation.

Young people came in anxious about climate. They left feeling capable, creative, hopeful.

That proved what's possible.

Now we bring smaller, moveable versions of that magic to you — adapted for your school size, flexible format, same philosophy.

Ready to engage?

Climate action and learning should feel joyful, not overwhelming.

Whether you want Active Floor training, interactive climate events, or handmade games — we're here to bring your learning experiences to life.
